Randy Saylor Senior Pastor Randy is a husband and pastor who cares intensely about people & community. He is known for his ability to teach the Bible in an easy style that helps the listener in applying those truths to practical situations for everyday life. His messages are filled with humor and real life examples. Prior to the ministry Randy’s background included sales and retail management. Kim Saylor Co-Pastor Kim is a wife, Bible teacher and church administrator. Her passion is to help people realize a personal experience with God and to introduce them to His unconditional love. Kim has 23 years experience in children and youth ministry. Prior to church ministry Kim’s background was in administration and accounting. Pastors Randy & Kim are both natives of Ottumwa having lived in the area most of their lives and graduating from Ottumwa High School & the local community college. Each received Jesus while in their mid-twenties and married shortly thereafter in 1985. The couple has no children. Our JBC Story After many years of serving in various areas of ministry in the local church, Pastors Randy & Kim began to sense a draw towards the five-fold ministry. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit the couple attended and graduated from a three year ministry training program as well as completed two years of internship in church ministry. After fulfilling all requirements each became a licensed minister and the couple was sent to start a church in Ottumwa. June 4, 2000 Randy & Kim stood before a gathering of three adults and two children in the living room of their home. There a vision was shared along with the Word of God. On that day Jubilee Bible Church was born. For the next three months the growing group continued to meet in the couple’s home. As the number of adults and children attending continued to increase the location was changed to accommodate the group’s growing needs. September 2000 – 2002 For the next two years of the church's life, we met each Sunday in a rented facility known as Evans Middle School. Each week, we set up tables, chairs and kids church and anticipated the new faces that would be joining us. September 2002 – 2007 As the church continued to grow it became very apparent we needed a home to call our own. It was at this time we began to lease our current facility – a historic 4 story brick building located in downtown Ottumwa. As the church grew additional square footage in the building was leased to facilitate our growing congregation. During this time an amazing opportunity was presented to us to purchase the building we had been leasing for five years. After a year-long fund drive in September of 2007 we purchased our building at 111 N. Green St. Pastors Randy and Kim Saylor are licensed and ordained ministers with Faith Christian Fellowship Int'l. Jubilee Bible Church is an affiliate church of Faith Christian Fellowship International Church Inc.
2008 - Present JBC continues to be a thriving and healthy church. Our church family, programs and service to our community continues to expand. Renovation of our building is an ongoing project. We have a wonderful team of volunteers who are excited about being a part of something that is making a difference in their lives and community.
